Host A Donation Class

Success of Trini’s programs is largely dependent on the fundraising efforts of individuals like you! A big way to make an impact is hosting a donation class benefiting the foundation. Donation classes are an excellent way to let people know about Trini’s programs while also giving back to your community.

Event Guidelines

It’s easy to get involved! Classes can be held in-person or virtually. Plan a class for any date and don’t be afraid to get creative. You may host any type of yoga class or event that you want. Do whatever works best for you! We’ve seen success with meditation classes, kirtans, concerts, silent auctions, pancake breakfast fundraisers, and more!

Gather donors’ contact information, record on a spreadsheet, and send that (or a class list from your registration system) with the collected cash or check donations to Trini Foundation. This allows us to update donors on the status of our programs and provide information on the real and lasting impact of their contributions, and allows us to send year-end receipts for tax purposes.

Set a minimum suggested donation amount for class attendees as well as a fundraising goal for your studio as a whole. Choose amounts based on what is reasonable for your student population at the time.

Collecting Donations

At registration, we recommend sending a link to www.trinifoundation.org/donate so participants can make online donations directly to Trini Foundation if they choose. All donations made directly to the foundation are tax deductible.

Please deposit all cash donations from the event into your account and send one payment to Trini Foundation. The collected donation may be made online via credit card/PayPal or mailed as a check.

Promoting the Event

Create an event on social media. Share your event and tag @trinifoundation

In addition, please promote the event on your website, include it in your studio’s newsletter, email your friends, and do everything you possibly can to generate excitement about the event. Remember, every dollar you raise goes toward saving lives!
